About AiMisfired
AI Misfired is a community site collecting real stories of artificial intelligence going confidently wrong.
We built this for two reasons — because it's genuinely funny, and because understanding where AI fails is one of the best ways to understand what it actually is.
Every story here comes from a real person describing something that actually happened. A wrong capital city delivered with absolute authority. Code that rewrote itself in a different language. A citation with a convincing DOI that leads nowhere. A refusal to explain how to boil an egg.
Why "Misfired"
A misfire is when something goes off, just not the way it was supposed to. That's the energy here — fully formed, confident, articulate answers that happen to be completely wrong.
This is not an anti-AI site
These tools are useful. We use them too. But knowing their limitations makes you a better user of them — and the failures are often worth a laugh along the way.
